Some good news!

We are delighted to say we can now welcome you back to the restaurant and we look forward to a season of festive cheer with lots of delicious food, fun and laughter.

We are now in a Tier 2 High Alert level so everything we do in the restaurant is to make our customers and staff feel safe and welcome at all times. Hygiene is of the upmost importance to us.

New guidelines state that we stop taking orders at 10pm and must close by 11.00pm and we thank you all in advance for your help and support.

Restaurant guidelines – Covid-19

We ask that customers please wash their hands before arrival. Hand sanitisers are also available for use on the premises.

Contact with tables, chairs, cutlery etc

In order to reduce this risk, staff are instructed to sanitise all surfaces regularly with anti-bacterial spray.

Contact with staff

The temperature of each staff member is taken before opening, each night. Where possible, staff are instructed to maintain their distance i.e. when greeting customers or taking orders.

Staff will wear masks while serving at tables.

Contact with other customers

We will be limiting the number of customers in the restaurant so that customers can be kept at a safe distance when seated. There is a one-way system is in place in order to prevent customers coming into contact with each other.

We ask customers to please arrive on time and also leave graciously when asked to do so.

Track and trace

On arrival we will require one of your party to scan the QR code on the NHS Track and Trace poster on display with a mobile device. This ensures effective contact tracing in case a guest tests positive for Coronavirus.

Dorking Brasserie does not take responsibility for those who contract Covid-19 post visiting the restaurant. Customers who do decide to eat-in, are coming at their own risk.


Customer information

We are sure you are concerned about the impact of Covid-19 and nothing is more important to the Dorking Brasserie than the health and safety of our customers and colleagues.

Please be assured, all staff currently working on our premises have been deemed fit to work, are not displaying symptoms and have not recently travelled from any high-risk destinations.

All staff are requested to frequently wash their hands throughout the day and have been asked not to make physical contact with customers e.g. shaking hands, keeping a safe distance etc.

We remain committed to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness and have strengthened our procedures in this area as additional measures. Our entire premises is cleaned throughout the day, including sterilising our equipment. All packaging for takeaways are hygienically prepared.

When entering our restaurant, we are more than happy for you to use our facilities to wash your hands as an extra precaution.

We also offer contactless collection/delivery.

Kandahar Jalfrezi

This is a medium spiced dish of tender chicken or lamb cooked in a pepper, tomato and onion sauce, with our chef’s specially selected mix of herbs, spices and whole aniseed.
